Rounding out my second day on the job has been an experience. There is an abundance of history to cover which I can surely not learn in my first week or two. It will take some serious thumbing through before I am a CC, T/MC expert but I look forward to getting there. (I am, after all, a serial perfectionist.) I have already began to brainstorm some ideas on special events, ways to woo the press and marketing collateral to promo, grow and build a substantial following. Not saying they will all be hits, but success starts with brains and heart!
A little about me: I bring seven years of professional experience to Cabrini Connections. I got my start in Journalism (my undergraduate degree). I wanted to be a beat reporter then, after working at the student-run newspaper for four years and two reporting internships. My career eventually took me to a marketing office where I started as an associate doing Journalistic-style writing merged (there's more merging of passions!) with marketing flare, the occasional press-release copy and various types of marketing collateral. And hence, my career took a turn. I went back to school, while working full-time, to enhance my skills and knowledge with a master's degree in Written Communications with focuses in Marketing and Tech Writing.
I've tried to be a well-rounded professional. Since I love to learn new things, it's nothing for me to pick up a book on the latest software, to marketing techniques. You can never have enough KNOWLEDGE. I chose to leave the corporate world to do better things that would fulfill me while still enjoying marcom work. I hope to launch many great events, ideas and movements here at Cabrini Connections, T/MC. What we are doing here is revolutionary, and a movement!
Feel free to visit me here from time to time and read about events, random me things, news and current events that affect us all, as well as the occasional mumbo jumbo, here.
So, welcome to my blog as I am welcomed to you.
Peace and Continued Enlightenment!
