The Key to Fundraising Success

FUNdraising for Quarters is getting interesting as some volunteers turned up the heat inviting friends and family out to support Martini Madness. Volunteer Fran F. invited so many people that she had actually squeaked ahead in the running for the top volunteer over Volunteer Allen (AJ) T. But not to be outdone, AJ has a knack for word-of-mouth marketing of our program and because of it he was able to get someone to make a donation on his behalf in the amount of $1,000!! This is by far the best way to increase your efforts... we each have a network that we often overlook when it comes to fundraising. But just imagine if you told three people a month about the work we do here, showed them our websites of where they could go to find more information about our mission, progress, testimonials from our students... one day someone from your network could be calling to write a check on your behalf.

Look into these ways of raising:

1. Workplace campaigning... whether via United Way, Community Shares of Illinois or Combined Federal Campaign or other, if your company has a way to give to charities via workplace giving, you can support us and get a coworker to support us as well. We're also listed through Black United Fund.

2. No workplace giving campaign in sight? http://www.networkforgood.org/ We have plenty other ways for people to give. One of which is Network for Good.

3. iGive.com... we all must shop on a daily basis. Since you have to do it anyway, shop through I Give and have a portion of your purchase donated to Cabrini Connections.

FUNdraising Leaders...
AJ T. ($1,125)
Fran F. ($150)
Ryan B. ($75)

The first quarter ends Dec 17 and the prize is a goodie.. a Chicago Bulls autographed pennant by sophomore power forward Joakim Noah!

The Chicago Bulls have gotten back in touch with us after a proposal submitted a few months ago and we are pleased to announce that this is the first time in the history of the program that the Bulls have supported the program by way of a donation. We hope to continue our relationship with them in the future and any other professional sports teams who would like to help our cause.
